Broken Rings

Borai Lapo, leader of the Defenders, loves Power Ring.  So does the Loop, his second in command.  She isn't sure of her feelings, but thinks she loves the Loop.  She tells Lapo that, and flies by public means to Tlâńor to meet the Loop.  Lapo follows, under his own power.  The air bus is struck from the sky.  The two Defenders rescue the survivors, then must survive themselves when the creature that brought down the bus attacks them.
