The Dawn at Tlâńor

Surveillance ship The Dawn at Tlâńor comes home at the end of a circuit and finds civilization in ruins.  Can the captain and crew find the loved ones they left behind?  Can the resources of a fully-equipped space/time ship with all of human history and technology at its disposal restore the world?
